Methods of content Delivery
SkyFrames multicasting and webcasting services provide two efficient and reliable methods of content delivery, and can supplement current
DTH services to offer a single IP router.
The Multicast delivery service enables scheduled content transmissions. Delivery services are identified by IP Multicast addresses, and consist of content files, such as HTML pages, software, publications and so on, which are stored at the head-end prior to transmission.
The Multicast pipe service provides virtual channels of fixed bandwidth. Pipes are identified by IP Multicast addresses and support realtime application content, such as audio and video.
